Teatro Visión 2026 General Auditions
Teatro Visión is holding general auditions for its 2026-27 season, which includes our annual Día de los Muertos production and a resident artist ensemble. Auditions are by appointment in person Saturday, June 20, 2026, between 10:00AM - 4:00PM.
We are seeking:
- Non-Equity actors
- All genders
- Ages 18+
- Bilingual, Spanish and English
Please prepare two 2-minute monologues (1 in Spanish, 1 in English) and one song to sing a capella.

Ensemble call back auditions are by invitation only in San José on Sunday June 28, 2026 from 10:00AM - 2:00PM. Please hold some availability on this date.
Día de los Muertos production call back auditions will take place in July 2026 (date TBD).

Performances: October 8-18, 2026
Rehearsals days/times:
- Tuesday - Friday: 7:00PM - 10:00PM
- Saturday: 10:00AM - 3:00PM
- OFF: Sundays & Monday
Compensation is $18.45 per hour for rehearsals you are called to and all performance dates. All rehearsals and performances are in San José.
Colectivo Visión en Movimiento / Nahui Ollin (Artist residency opportunity)
Join our Colectivo, a resident artist ensemble consisting of bilingual artists who will be trained to use participatory, culture-based theater techniques to bring communities together, take teatro to audiences outside traditional spaces, and nurture young theater-makers.
The Colectivo's work will broaden Teatro Visión’s existing education, new work development, and community engagement programs, co-designing new projects alongside the Teatro Visión staff as year-round partners. Projects may include:
- Devising short-form performances responding to social issues or tailored to community cultural events
- Designing and implementing curricula for arts education programs in schools
- Facilitating community events and workshops that use theater activities to address community issues
4 hours per month starting July 2026, plus additional time for training, other projects, events, and programs as they become available.
Compensation is $18.45+ per hour for all activities. Activities will be primarily located in San José and Santa Clara County. Mileage will be paid for all activities taking place outside of San José.
