It is with deep sadness that we announce the postponement of Esperanza Rising. Due to the latest directives from Santa Clara County Public Health around COVID-19, our team has decided that it is best for our community to postpone the production until 2021. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through this announcement, especially the cast of incredible young artists who were all ready to start rehearsals.
During what would have been the rehearsal period for Esperanza Rising, these young artists have decided to continue to collaborate with each other remotely, supported by Teatro Visión artistic staff, on a creative project of their own devising. Stay tuned for updates on this project, as we do everything we can to continue to connect our community in a time of difficult social isolation.
If you have purchased tickets to Esperanza Rising, you will receive a refund. Depending on where you purchased your tickets, look for an email from Brown Paper Tickets or Goldstar with more information. If you are moved to donate your purchase back to Teatro Visión, you can always donate at www.teatrovision.org/support.
If you have any questions, please email us at email@example.com.
Special thanks to Esperanza Rising cast member Nicole Machuca (age 10) for this drawing of Esperanza in 2021.
