When 9-year-old Mariela's performance at a school talent show goes wrong, she wishes not to be different anymore. Transported to the InBetween, the land of the ancestors, she meets a sassy owl, an emotional tortoise, a singing prairie dog, an honorable snake, and a mischievous centipede. A bilingual story of the importance of self-acceptance and the powerful medicine that is carried by ancestral teachings, brought to life by a youth cast.

Becoming (MAR) is performed bilingually in English and Spanish, with English and Spanish captions.

Live performances are over, but you can still watch Becoming (MAR) on demand from May 1-31.

Cuando la presentación de Mariela, de 9 años, en el show de talento de la escuela sale mal, ella desea no seguir siendo diferente. Transportada al lnBetween, la tierra de los antepasados, conoce a un pícaro búho, una tortuga emocional, un perrito de las praderas que canta, una serpiente honorable y un ciempiés travieso. Una historia bilingue sobre la importancia de la autoaceptación y la poderosa medicina que llevan las enseñanzas ancestrales traída al escenario por un elenco de jóvenes teatristas.

Becoming (MAR) se presenta de forma bilingüe en inglés y español, con subtítulos en inglés y español.
