We are excited to announce the launch of the Colectivo Visión en Movimiento! Throughout our recent history, we've encountered opportunities to better serve our communities needs, such as venues and organizations asking us to bring energizing, inspiring performances to their cultural events and community gatherings. Seeing these opportunities, we decided to launch el Colectivo Visión en Movimiento to answer the call from our community.
El Colectivo is group of trained, bilingual artists who will use participatory, culture-based theater techniques to bring communities together, take teatro to audiences outside traditional spaces, and nurture young theater-makers.
The Ensemble’s work will broaden Teatro Visión’s existing education, new work development, and community engagement programs, co-designing new projects alongside the Teatro Visión staff as year-round partners. Projects may include:
- Devising short-form performances responding to social issues or tailored to community cultural events
- Designing and implementing curricula for arts education programs in schools
- Facilitating community events and workshops that use theater activities to address community issues
