Join storyteller and collective strategist Rosanna Álvarez and Teatro Visión for Nightshades: Reclaiming our Medicine, a powerful evening featuring spoken word, community poetry, and roundtable discussions on the role of art in these challenging times.
By bringing together poets, artists, and community members, the event offers a space to process shared struggles, ground ourselves in solidarity, and create a collective response to the threats facing our communities.
As a play on words for an evening event, nightshades are also a family of plants, some of which have medicinal properties—symbolizing how art and community can serve as antidotes to the toxic forces we face.
Come for participatory poetry, community connection, and an open mic to reclaim our medicine and find strength in unity, amidst the shadiness.
NIGHTSHADES will feature readings by Rosanna, Yosimar Reyes, Maribel Martínez, Laura Díaz Tovar—and you!
