Community Resource Fair for Food Justice

Defendamos Nuestro MaizPrior to the matinee performance of Teatro Visión's MACARIO, join us to learn about grassroots movements to provide healthy food options in low-income and immigrant communities and have access to representatives of local nonprofit organizations that seek to improve access to healthy foods.

There will be a special presentation from Sergio Nesaulakoyotl Martinez and Angelica Tletlyolotl Delgado of La Defensa del Maíz San José, a grassroots organization seeking to mobilize the community in defense of non-GMO, organic, native, criollo maíz while supporting a bio-diverse seed population and creating access to safe, fair-trade, traditional corn products.

Visit them on Facebook to learn more:

Also speaking will be Jose Maldivo of Peace & Dignity Journeys.
