Raíces: El libro de los caminos / Roots: The Book of Journeys

Teatro Visión is partnering with Mexico City street theater ensemble La Quinta Teatro to create a brand new work of theater about migration as a boundless journey. We’re calling this new work Raíces: el libro de los caminos (Roots: The Book of Journeys). Look for the world premiere to take place at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in 2021.
Because it is always important to Teatro Visión to involve our community in our creative process, we’re inviting all of you to join us throughout the process.

Upcoming events

In August 2019, we brought La Quinta Teatro to San José to begin our collaboration on Raíces: el libro de los caminos.
La Quinta Teatro is back in México now, but our work together on Raíces continues. As the next step, we’re inviting the community to a pair of conversation circles, led by our Artistic Director Rodrigo García, to share thoughts, stories, and experiences of migration. We’ll share these stories with La Quinta Teatro so that we can use this input to help us shape Raíces: el libro de los caminos.
Workshop schedule:
Friday, September 13, 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Friday, September 20, 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Both workshops will be held in Classroom 5 at the Mexican Heritage Plaza.
If you'd like to participate, please fill out our google form.
